Moores have been specified for a major investment programme by Trust Housing Association (HA) in Scotland that will see over 600 properties within the Trust’s existing housing stock completely refurbished with new kitchens over the next three years.
The partnership between Moores and Trust HA, which is being carried out by contractors Mears, was awarded to Moores following a detailed mini tender through the Procurement for Housing Framework. The refurbishment work includes sheltered housing projects in Fife, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Arran. Sean Gillespie, Property Operations Manager at Trust HA, commented: “Trust HA provide housing mainly for older people so our key objective is to make sure our tenants have quality homes and services that promote independent living. This contract is part of a wider investment programme to ensure this happens.
The kitchen is the heart of the home, so by carrying out this refurbishment work we are helping to improve the lives of our tenants. The project also ensure these properties are brought up to the Scottish Housing Quality Standard. “Moores was specified in the tender process based on its market leading kitchen ranges and its first class service offering. This is backed up by the company’s partnership approach and its sustainability credentials. Moores is working with us and the contractors every step of the way, from the pre-planning and design stages, right through to delivery and handover to our tenants.”
As part of the project, Trust HA’s tenants have the choice of three different types of kitchen style and design from Moores – Linton, Forza and Valente ranges – each of which come in a choice of four colours and a range of accessories, worktops, taps and sinks. Moores new Linton range for example, which is available in natural oak, white, walnut and maple, is a classic kitchen that offers a fresh look on the routed door with a raised centre panel. Forza and Valente are both stylish contemporary kitchens, again available in four elegant finishes.
