25/07/2012 Greg Completes Charity Bike Ride for Cancer Research UK! Huge congratulations to Moores New Build Account Manager, Greg Smith, who completed a charity bike ride from Stranraer to Scarborough over the weekend. Raising money for Cancer Research UK, Greg wanted to set himself a big challenge this year and most of us would agree that a 310 miles bike ride over three days was certainly that! Beginning his ride in Stranraer on Friday morning Greg had 103 miles ahead of him to reach Lockerbie, but with his dad supporting him in a backup car and an average speed of 28.9kph Greg got through the first day! Day two was another 102 miles to Kirkby Stephen where after a much needed nights rest it was time for the final push! After a gruelling 105 miles Greg made it to his final destination of sunny seaside town, Scarborough!! With such a fantastic achievement raising money for a great charity, Greg’s friends and colleagues have been sponsoring him throughout the challenge and with the money still pouring in, the current total stands at an impressive £928.00.
