Moores Opens up with Plymouth tenants
23/08/2010
Staff from Moores Furniture Group travelled to the South West of England last month to meet with tenants of Plymouth Community Homes. The leading manufacturer of quality kitchen and bathroom furniture has been working with the social housing provider in Plymouth to supply around 40 new kitchens a week as part of the housing association’s £168 million investment in improving tenants’ homes over the next five years.
During the open day, Plymouth residents were invited along to learn more about the refurbishment scheme and to see for themselves the quality of the kitchens that are due to be installed in their homes. As part of the home improvement project tenants have the opportunity to select their preferred finish of cabinetry and worktops and they were able to view the range available on the day.
"The Plymouth contract is one of the last major decent homes programmes to be carried out in England, and will see us supplying close to 60 new kitchens a week from next year. The contract is running very well so far and the residents open day was well received by all who attended," commented Richard Garstang, Moores Regional Manager West.
Moores won the contract with Plymouth Community Homes on the back of its strong industry leading innovations and excellent service proposition, having worked successfully with a wide range of public sector customers on similar projects. Moores has been a leading supplier of high specification kitchen furniture to housing associations for many decades, working with its customers to achieve their objectives of resident satisfaction and value for money.
