We have developed this policy to explain our practices regarding the collection, use and transfer of personal information. What information is being collected and how it is used?
As part of our manufacturing and supply of kitchen, bedroom and bathroom products we collect and retain your personal information for a number of reasons detailed below.
Prospective and Website Customers
We collect and store personal contact information for prospective customers. This information is stored to allow us to contact you in relation to your enquiry. It is used to specifically follow up on any quotation and for processing of any subsequent order.
As part of this process we will ask if we can retain and use this information for marketing of promotional offers, new and existing products and services. Only those who elect to opt in will be added to this list and we will only retain this list for our use. All emails sent to this list have an opt-out option. Otherwise you can email email@example.com to be manually unsubscribed.
During your purchase we will require your credit card details. Once your purchase has been processed, your card details are not stored on Moores systems but transferred to the current payment partner as part of the order processing. Your details may be stored by our payment partner for a refund / cancellation period to protect your consumer rights.
During our delivery process, your address and contact details are passed digitally to our transport and logistics partners to facilitate the delivery of the goods. If requested, your mobile number is passed to a UK based SMS service to allow the sending of a prior notice. This information is destroyed once delivery is completed and a proof of delivery is returned to us. Throughout this process no information leaves the European Union.
We collect and store personal contact information of customers who complete our warranty registration form. This information is stored to allow us to contact you in relation to your warranty,
As part of this form we will ask if we can retain and use this information for marketing of promotional offers, new and existing products and services. Otherwise you can email firstname.lastname@example.org to be manually unsubscribed.
Homeowner Customer Care / Warranty Claim
As with any product, occasionally things go wrong. Warranty or Customer Care cases can originate from a number of sources; the developer, the renovation contractor or the homeowner themselves. During the investigation phase homeowner contact details as well as information relating to the issue are requested and stored on our internal systems. This information forms the basis of the ordering, delivery and fitting (if required) of any replacement items. We retain product information to allow us to report on and understand any fundamental product issues. We retain customer information to allow us to report back to our customers and to form an independent warranty on the exchanged items. This information is not used for any marketing promotional activity.
Public Sector Refurbishment
We may receive your personal information as part of planned kitchen, bedroom or bathroom refurbishment work. This information is provided by our customer to allow us to contact you to arrange a home visit to plan your new kitchen. Your information may be accessed by our third-party surveying partners who require this information to plan the home visit. Once this visit has been completed and uploaded to our systems any personal information outside of Moores network is destroyed. Depending on the contract, we may require to use your name and address details for delivery of goods to your address. Contact details are passed digitally to our transport and logistics partners to facilitate this delivery and are destroyed once a Proof of Delivery is uploaded to us.
This information is not used for any marketing promotional activity.
Business Contact Information
We store and retain personal information alongside business contact details for our customers. This information is held in a number of locations; internal systems, company mobile devices and email services. We enforce a password policy onto our mobile devices and can facilitate a remote wipe of these devices. Your information is retained to ensure communication activity during contractual delivery of our goods and services. We may occasionally email you to remind you of promotional offers available to our customers.
To request removal of your personal information from this process please used the Subject Access Request Form and select ‘Right to Erasure’.
Website Cookie tracking activity
Our websites track visits to our site by placing a cookie onto your computer. By accessing our website you permit the use of this cookie. These can be removed of by using a number of tools to delete cookies for your computer. We do not use this information for anything other than reporting on the success of our promotional activity.
Data privacy by design
Despite the source we ensure your personal information is stored on Moores systems, entirely within the European Union and are only accessible to Moores employees via login and password. We also limit access only to those members of staff who require it for their duties to service your requirements
These systems are protected from the intrusion by physical hardware and are monitored for unauthorised access. As part of our commitment to Data Protection any unauthorised accessing of information is reported and escalated to ICO via their reporting mechanism.
Subject Access Request
As a customer you are entitled to know and restrict how we use your information. Whilst we take every care to provide you with the ability to opt-out of marketing emails, we understand you may want to use your rights under GDPR to access, change or erase your personal information.
